"Ich habe schon ewig kein PEACE-Bild mehr geschickt - weil ich einfach keins gefunden habe. Bei uns in Bayern herrscht ja Rechts und Ordung, und da wird dieses Zeichen einfach nicht gebraucht.
Aber ich war in Hamburg, und direkt neben den Messehallen im Karoviertel war dieses, sogar in der Love & Peace Variante.

" Not sure if the T-shirt designer knew that this is the peace sign and no  general sign for love. But then, in those times - now decades ago - love and  peace was a popular slogan, so the mixture is most probably o.k.
  Peace signs - being it on clothes or sticker or as graffiti tags - are quite  rare in those southern parts of Germany that I know. The A for Anarchism you  see in many places, in spite of the political irrelevance of all radical  leftist movements in Germany."

"THATZ ZULTO" greets the commuters heading westwards from Munich train station. A first search did turn up the name Zulto as one driver in the role player game "J the Hedgehog", but as I have not the slightest idea of the dungeons of computer games, I take these sprayed words just for their graphic strength - at the same time feeling uneasy about not detesting something that should simply qualify as urban pollution."

And while fascist ideas dont't find a fertile breeding in a city with a inglorious history in the third reich (unfortunately they have one elected member of the city council), it is the leftist block who brings up the most counter demonstrators if the right wing parties stage one of their rare marches."

"In spite of the small number of peace signs I was able to spot in Munich, this is a really peaceful city if read take the official crime rate. And this year, I have even found a peace sign on the Octoberfest itself, used to advertise for time-travel "back into the 70ies" attraction. I doubt however that it will help against the rising number of beer hall brawls, where drunkards use steins as weapons against each other."

"Anrufungen einer weiblichen Figur sind vermutlich seit der Erfindung der Schrift auf irgendwelchen öffentlichen Flächen angebracht worden, legal oder illegal. Mit den Schmerzen des "Anrufers" korrespondiert der Name der Angerufenen, Dolores.

Probably since the invention of written language, calls to a female idol were installed in public spaces, legally or not. With the pain (lat. dolor) of the caller, the name of the called nicely corresponds: Dolores."
